Sky Q’s New Features – What does they mean to me?

The latest Sky 2TB Boxes come with Voice Control to help navigate around your bigger, better, Home page, and track your 6 parallel recordings.
Add Sky Q Mini Boxes for Sky Multiscreen, streaming, and to continue where you left off anywhere in your home. For example, you can watch Toy Story That Time Forgot in the living room on the main Sky Q box and switch it off. Then continue the film exactly where you left off in another room on a Sky Q Mini box or a connected tablet. Even uncompleted recordings can be picked up again from the last moment after downloading to a tablet to be watched when travelling or off-line.

If you want to do this with live TV you have to record it. Just press the red record button twice. (Once will result in series record.)

Sky Q touch remote

Touch, tap, swipe.
The intuitive touchpad makes finding what to watch faster and easier.
Swipe left-to-right to return to your previous channel. Slide your finger round the top of the ring to speed up or slow down fast forward or rewind.
Never lose your remote again – press the Q button on your Sky Q 2TB box and your Sky Q touch remote will beep for 30 seconds.
Bluetooth technology means you don’t need to point the remote at your Sky Q 2TB box for it to work.

Used Digital Direct for the second time. This time it was to move our main Sky Q box to a new location. To our amazement they came the same day, exactly on time and did the job quickly, efficiently and for a reasonable price. Excellent service and the man that came was friendly and professional. DD Aerials were prompt, well equipped and did the job exactly as agreed. Dave and his colleague were very prompt, arriving as agreed at 8am (time for arrival 0800-0900) they were efficient and quick workers.
We live in an old building converted into flats and it was a challenge finding out which Sky dish was whose on the roof. Dave was quickly able to locate and update our dish, they tested the signal before leaving with everything done in about an hour. Sky came that afternoon and without any problems managed to connect our Sky Q.

This is for all of us who have endured the mind numbing experience of calling Sky’s help line and the watching the Tech nerds videos on YouTube. Never do it again, just call these folks at Digital Direct as they are a Class Act. Andy the Technician arrived, AKA the Yoda (he who knows everything) of Remotes. Within twenty minutes he had sussed out the problem and totally re set the remote. Fantastic! He then said would I like him to alter the settings to improve the viewing quality of the TV. Seriously, what he did I haven’t a clue but I now will not need to book an eye test for my glasses as in the evenings I thought something was wrong with my eyes.
